Everything is starting to pick up, we had two baptisms on Saturday. Alex and Frank were both baptized and it looks like we will have one more either this week or next. I feel I can stretch and grow much more now. It's so amazing that the Lord really does know us and what we need when we need it. My new companion is Sister Christensen and she is amazing. I can tell we are going to be great friends. Here are a few pictures from this week.

WEEK 21
Dear Everyone,
I am no longer in Newnan. I am now serving in the YSA ward in the Fayettville Stake. My new companion is Sister Christensen. It is going to be fun! I sent a poem with this letter that is so true! With hard times come really good ones, and it's the good ones that make it worth it. Right now I am on a good one so I can't wait to share the stories and blessings I will find. Thank you so much for all your support!

The Highs and Lows of a Mission
A mission is a strange experience
it is a trial and a test
Amission throws at you the worst
Yet, teaches you the best.
I've never been so happy,
I've never been so depressed.
I've never felt so forsaken,
I've never felt so blessed.
I've never been so confused,
Things have never been so clear.
I've never felt Heavenly Father so distant,
He's never been so near.
I've never been so discouraged,
I've never been so full of hope.
I feel I could go on forever,
I think I've come to the end of my rope.
I've never had it quite so easy,
I've never had it quite so tough.
Things have never been so smooth,
Things have never been so rough.
I've never traveled through more valleys,
I've never ascended more peaks.
I've never met so many nice people,
I've never met so many freaks!
I've never had so many ups,
I've never had so many downs.
I've never had so many frowns.
I've never been so lonely,
I've never had so many friends.
Boy, I hope this is over soon,
Gosh, I hope this never ends.

WEEK 19
Dear Evryone,
Guess what? I get to go to the temple Friday! The more I think about the temple, The happier I am. Even more so on my mission. I feel like I have received a bigger perspective in this life, and the life to come. What I see gives me a stronger desire to be more like Christ. That is how I find Happiness, because when we live the gospel (live it in our hearts and our actions) we grow stronger as a family and as a child of God.
This mission that I am on (the one in Atlanta Georgia and on this earth) will set me up for the eternities!!!I would like to encourage you all to keep your eye on that goal, because the prize is more then we can even imagine.

WEEK 18
Dear Everyone,
Guess what? We went a whole lot of people this week! One of them is Roger. He has a one year old boy RJ (Roger Jr.) So we were walking down the street and we saw him in his back yard making a garden with a friend. We stopped to talk with them. Roger seemed interested but just didn't want to say it. So we told him who we are and a little about the blessings of the family. We got a return appointment! When we went to see him he seemed really surprised, but we sat there for a second and could tell he knew that this gospel of Jesus Christ was the thing he needs most in his life and for his son.
Another great thing is Joan said she is going to come to our church on fat Sunday! Everything is looking up and pushing on!

Week 17
Dear Everyone,
I hope y'all had a great week! This week was crazy. So last Wednesday we( Sister Nielson and I) went on an exchange with the Sister training leaders. Sister Nielson stayed here in Newnan with 3 other Sisters. They were just going tracking and to see potentials and I went to Fayettville. We saw a few less actives and met with a few potentials. With my food allergies it was a good thing they didn't have a dinner appointment set up, but while we were talking with a member we got a call from another saying, "I felt like I needed to call and ask to feed you." We said ok and explained my food allergies and she said that wouldn't be a problem because she was a vegan. So it worked out perfectly and I got some really great eggplant with spaghetti and squash.
When the exchange was over and we switched back Sister Nielson had a lot to say. They were able to find 5 new investigators and the next day Sister Nielson and I found 3 more new people while trying to see one of the new investigators. We were able to teach the restoration and introduce the Book of Mormon. We even invited them to be baptized. (Soft Commitment) and they said if they find it to be true! It was amazing.

Week 16
Dear Everyone,
I hope y'all have been doing good! So we got Elders in the Newnan ward. They are good hard workers. Their names are Elder Yeaman & Elder Thurgood. The new missionary I'm training is Sister Nielson.
We are making slow progress, and with these new missionaries in this area there are a lot of new ideas that we are excited to try out. One of these ideas is to start a scripture study class. A lot of people in the south like bible study. So there will be a lot of people who would definitely come. Plus it will be a good way to introduce the Book of Mormon.
This week we have seen some miracles. So there is this less active member who texted us and was against the church, but we were able to calm him down and let him know we could be friends. Then when we needed help with some service we felt prompted to text him. He jumped in to help just like that. Which was even more progress! Don't ever underestimate the power of service!!!.
Love,
Sister Chidester
P.S. Guess What I got to hold a Sugar Glider (Flying Square Thing). It is an investigators pet!
P.S.S. Also this morning Elder Yeaman our district leader (and the whole district) came and surprised knocked on our door and said we were doing a district run for exercise. So we ran in the rain and lightning. It was amazing and so FUN! Sister Nielson didn't like it so much.
P.S.S.S. Here is a picture of me and Sister Jones

Week 15
We received this email from some sweet people in Georgia:)
Aloha Chidester and Nielson ohana,
We are the Naeata's and just wanted to share this photo of your sweet
missionaries having dinner with us. I am not sure if you received it
from my cell phone or not so just to be sure here it is :0)
We
loved having your sweet missionaries in our home for dinner. We will do
our best to keep them busy with the Lord's work here in Newnan :0)
Sister
Nielson's message: "Love of trees and hatred of humidity are at war
with each other" quite an adjustment she is going thru right now :0) She
is exhausted but getting better.
Sister Chidester's message: "Still being fed well mom please don't worry. Love u!"
Please
share with us some of your daughter's favorite dishes and how you
prepare them so that they will enjoy dinners with us even more. We plan
on celebrating Bdays so knowing what their favorite meals and desserts
are would help us make it even more special for them.
Thank you for sharing your daughters with us! :0)
Love and Aloha,
Week 14
Dear Everyone,
Ha ha These past two weeks have been a real learning experience.
1. I learned how you are really suppose to treat a tick bit (which was freaky and interesting at the same time) and just so y'all know use Jungle Juice when in Georgia, because when they say there are ticks there are TICKS. (And I promise I was not walking through the sage brush to get it.
2. I also learned exercise really does help relieve stress. When the missionary handbook says to exercise 30 Minutes every day there is a reason behind it. How often do we take things like exercise for granted? How often do we take scripture study pr truly meaningful prayer for granted. Yes I would pray and read my scriptures and now that I am on my mission and I study 2 1/2 hours a day W/ meaningful prayer I have come to wish for more time in a day. There is just so much to learn and understand. (And that is all in the simple things I have known my whole life).
3. I have also learned how to create/find miracles. As miracle can happen in many ways. Miracles come in different sizes, but each one of them means the world to different people. One of the miracles we found was for a lady named Joan.
In the Georgia Atlanta Mission (GMA) one of the ways we find people is through tracking. We go from door to door asking to leave blessings of our Saviors peace. We as Sisters do this through prayer. The Elders do it through the Priesthood they hold and the Sisters do it through the Authority of which we have been called as missionaries. We ask them what it is they need help from the Lord at this time and that is what we pray for as well as anything else as directed by the Spirit. So we were walking through an apartment complex giving these blessings when we found an older lady with a broken collar bone trying to get her grocery's in her apartment. Joan was having a hard time with what little she could carry. So we asked if we could help. She said yes so we helped and as we put her bags down she started crying She said we were an answer to he prayers. She knows God sent us. She is really excited to meet with us and learn of the Church.

P.S. I hope y'all look and find a miracle this week.

Week 13
Hey Everyone!
So this week has been a real trial. We had a lady bashing on the Book of Mormon. We had 2 of our top investigators drop us, and one of them was new and really promising. It was one thing after another.
But in the midst of all this we found several miracles! One... we received 2 new investigators this week (I know there are more to come). Two.. there was a Spanish immigration conference that we were serving at. (Sister McFarlane knows a little Spanish.) There weren't many people there so we went to go find some more people to come. On the way back we saw a man walking so we stopped to talk to him. He said we were an answer to his prayers!! So, we gave him a Book of Mormon and got his information to pass it on to the missionaries in the area that he lives.
We also received a phone call from a man saying that he had a member friend, and he wanted to be baptized. He said he had a family and after he was baptized he was going to lead them in the right direction!!
But our miracles didn't stop there. We also had 2 investigators at church! They loved it!!! There were so many miracles among the trials this week. I am positive there are more to come. I hope y'all have a good week!

Week 12
We were able to Skype with Kailee yesterday for Mother's Day. She is doing great and loving her mission in Georgia.
She told us the other day her companion ran over a bird. The bird got caught in the grill of the car. Her and her companion were unable to get it out of the car. They drove to church and greeted people as they were coming in. One of the young men came to tell them they had a bird stuck in their car. A few minutes later he came back with the bird out of the car.
Her investigators are really coming along. One of their investigators is trying to quit smoking. To help her with quitting Kailee and her companion also promised to give something up. Kailee told us she is going to stop saying the word 'like'. For those who know Kailee, this is quite the challenge.
She is really growing lots spiritually, and we were able to have her testify to us during our Skype call.
Kailee can also email friends now. Her email is: kailee.chidester@myldsmail.net. She would love to hear from everyone!

Week 11
Hey!
I am doing great! I love being a missionary. I learn so much every single day! Haha so story..... a couple of weeks ago we almost got eaten by a dog! Ever since then we have been a little hesitant around big dogs with big barks. On Saturday we went to stop by a less active family's house. And guess what?! There were two big dogs barking at us. But we really needed to go see this family. So, we said a prayer of safety and slowly walked up the driveway. The dogs were barking like crazy the whole time. When we got close to the door the dogs stopped barking. The dogs were really nice. We found out one of the dogs was just a really big puppy. It jumped on us and wanted to play! haha And it was raining. So, after we smelled like wet dog. Love you!

Hey!
Fran told us she didn't want to meet with us. We were really bummed out. But later we are going to drop by and see if we can figure it all out. This last week we had a really great appointment with Wendy. She is an awesome investigator! She asks us all sorts of questions, and testifies of the truths we teacher her. I love teaching her lots. Here are some more pictures. Have a great week! Love you!

Week 9
Hey!!!
I am doing good. This week was really good. The best part was on Sunday! Sunday was the day we met Fran. This is what happened. We were in Sunday school and our ward mission leader pulled us out. We met this sweet little lady named Fran out in the hall way. She said that she was driving by and felt she should come in and the first person she saw was the second counselor. He is over missionary work in the stake. He looked down the hall, and there was our ward mission leader. (He had an impression to go out into the hall) He came and pulled us out of Sunday school to meet Fran. We all went into a room and had a really good lesson on the restoration. We have an appointment set up to meet with her on Wednesday! When we walked her out to her car she kept telling us that this was what she needed and what she has been looking for her whole life!!!
Tammy is doing good we are just trying to ease her in to the culture of our church. We are working on fellow-shipping. But it is always so hard when the members can't come with us.
Things are good! I am loving it! I love you all!
Love,
Sister Kailee Chidester
From the looks of these pictures.. she is working hard but also playing lots! :)

Week 8
Hey!
I don't have much time to write today, because it is district p-day. We are going to play chair soccer as a district! I am pretty excited.
We are all still working on meeting up with Emmitt. His mother-in-law passed away and his wife doesn't want us over to teach right now. We are still working on it though.
This last week has been so great! We have six new investigators!!! They are just so amazing and ready to hear the gospel. One of our new investigators is Wendy. We are meeting with her tonight! There is so much more I wish I could tell you if I had time.
I am doing great! I love being a missionary.

Week 7
Hey,
Sorry I didn't have as much time last p-day as I thought I did:( so I hope y'all are doing well! So I have a story about last week. It was Friday and we decided to go see a less active (she is less active because she is in a rest home) she is 92 years old it was good to get to know her (sister Bone) she was happy to see us. We talked about all her family and about her life. we felt really good about this visit. The Spirit was so strong, she cried and even walked us to the entrance. Sister Mcfarlane and I both thought everything went how it was suppose to go and everything was good but the next morning we got a call from her. We asked her how she was and she said I'm not ok. I had a bad experience. I don't want you all to come or send any one else. We asked her what happened and she said that if we come back she will call the police and have us arrested hen she hung up. We were so baffled! We had no clue what happened but what we did know is it did not feel good. We felt like something horrible had happened. The sad thing about it is we can't do much about it but we can pray for her.
So last week we taught Tammy about the word of wisdom. (Tammy has a smoking habit) we asked her to bring her cigarettes. She said she only had one left so she brought it out along with her lighter. So as we explained to Tammy that we loved her and how the word of wisdom will bring blessing from The Lord Sister Mcfarlane ripped up her last cigarette. It was hard for Tammy, but we believe she can over come it. After this lesson with Tammy we pulled into a parking lot and we ran over her lighter.
So conference was really great! Guess what talk was my favorite? It was Presidents Uchtdorfs. It is so true! There is light and dark as members we sometimes are between the doorframe. We are in the light but a lot of the time we don't understand the extent of how much warmth we can receive from the light.
It is kind of crazy how much perspective we receive on a mission. I feel like I am standing on the out skits and I can see a lot more then I did before. I can see all of these hard trials that these investigators or even people on the streets go through and it's hard! I am so grateful for all of the great blessings I have! To be born in the church, to have that strong foundation of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Love

It is kind of crazy how much perspective we receive on a mission. I feel like I am standing on the out skits and I can see a lot more then I did before. I can see all of these hard trials that these investigators or even people on the streets go through and it's hard! I am so grateful for all of the great blessings I have! To be born in the church, to have that strong foundation of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Week 6
Hey!
Conference was so great! I love all of the talks. My favorites were Elder Holland's, Elder Bednar's, and President Monson's talk. We were not able to meet with our investigator, Emitt, because his wife was not ready to have us over yet. We are hoping for next week though. Everything is going great! I am hoping to catch a frog soon. They are everywhere here. Love ya!Love,

Week 5
Hey Everyone,
Sorry I have not been very good at letting y'all know how everything is going. So here it is.
I serve in the Newnan ward of the Fayetteville Georgia Stake. We have been teaching 6 investigators. One of them is Tammy. Tammy has really bad fibromyalgia which makes her whole body hurt and she pretty much lives in a shack because she has no income. So she doesn't have very good medical care and so she is in pain a lot of the time. She is a strong spirit, she is so willing and excited to learn! She is getting baptized on April 13th!
There is also the Panoni family we just started teaching. They are also prepared! They have already been to church twice. We hope to have a baptism next month.
Man, the youth here are amazing! All of them are as strong as rocks with their testimonies. I swear each of them have several friends they have been sharing the gospel with. It would not surprise me if we have more investigators to teach next week.
Other than the people the land is also very beautiful! Everywhere you go you see trees and swamps! There's actually a small swampy area outside my back door. So, the frogs sings us to sleep at night.
There are several trees full of blossoms everywhere! I will try to send some pictures soon.
Well I hope y'all are doing good!

Sister Kailee Chidester

Week 4
Hey!
So we have 3 investigator to teach Paula, Tammy, and Carla and her family. and they are all so eager to learn. And we got a commitment from Tammy to be baptized! Though it doesn't help that her friend think she is a prophet. So she is a little confused. Don't worry we were sure to clear that up. And Paula and Carla are ready. There is a lot to teach! They all came to church yesterday! There is so much i could tell you but I don't know how to say it.

Week 3
We got to talk to Kailee right before she flew out to Georgia this week. It was so great to hear from her. She made it to Georgia just fine and didn't have an allergic reaction. The Lord is really watching over her. Her new companion is Sister Mcfarlane. She has been assigned to Newnan, Georgia for her first area. The members there are really taking care of the missionaries and they are really good about feeding Kailee things she can eat. They also have an investigator they are teaching, that Kailee really loves. She is doing great! If you would like to write her any letters or send packages to this address:
